WTF are Ordinals?
Imagine if every single satoshi (the tiniest unit of Bitcoin, like the cent to Bitcoin's dollar) suddenly decided it didn't just want to be a tiny, boring fraction of a Bitcoin. Instead, each one wanted to be unique, have its own personality, and maybe even dress up as a tiny digital artwork or a snippet of a game code. That's what Ordinals are - they're like giving each of these satoshis a makeover and turning them into unique, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), but without saying the NFT word too loud because, you know, it's Bitcoin, not Ethereum.
Why are they relevant, you ask?
Well, imagine a world where your money could also be your art gallery, or your collectibles case. Instead of having a boring old wallet filled with regular bitcoins, you could have a dazzling digital portfolio showcasing your very own collection of digital artifacts, inscriptions, or even memes, all etched into the Bitcoin blockchain. It's like turning the financial world into a virtual Pokemon game, but instead of catching Pikachu, you're catching bits of digital art and history.
But here's the funny part: this whole concept has stirred up a bit of a storm in the Bitcoin community. Some folks are all excited, throwing digital confetti and calling it the next big thing since sliced blockchains. Meanwhile, others are scratching their heads, wondering why their good old-fashioned transaction ledger is suddenly turning into a digital art show. The truth is that while the Bitcoin halving is very good for supply control and numba go up, it also means that Miners revenue tends to zero over time; Ordinals change that and now Miners receive a large amount of fees from Ordinals inscribing alone in each Block.
Also, there is this thing called CULTURE. Ordinals are everything RarePepes would have loved to be.
Who are We?
We are a team of five, that is as much as we are going to tell you. We all want to remain anonymous, we do not want the collection to sell out just based off our clout but on its own merit. Ah, yes and there is an artist involved. Like OG, one of those who did not just run away during the bear. The poor guy has barely slept or eaten for weeks trying to get this ready before the Halving.
WTF are Satorials?
Well I mean, if you do not know by now that this is an Ordinals Collection, you should probably seek help. There are 420 Satorials, all one of a kind, created by our over-worked anon artist. It is an ode to the Bitcoin miners and how Ordinals have changed the landscape for them. Okay, picture this: the Bitcoin world is like a giant digital gold mine. The miners are like those grizzled prospectors from the Wild West, tirelessly digging away for that precious gold – or in this case, Bitcoin. Now, these miners have been facing a bit of a pickle. Every few years, there's this event called the "halving," where the reward for mining Bitcoin gets chopped in half. It's like if someone snuck into the mine and started hiding half the gold. Tough times for our digital miners, right? The last halving took place on April 20th, 2024 (yesss 4/20, exactly as many Satorials there will ever be; no shit, Sherlock!).

Ordinals are like a love letter, or rather, a grand, flamboyant serenade to these hardworking miners. Why? Because Ordinals, especially flashy ones like Satorials, create new ways for miners to make money – not from finding new blocks of Bitcoin, which is getting tougher and less rewarding thanks to those pesky halvings, but from registering these unique digital items onto the blockchain. They get tipped in Bitcoin, baby! It's like the miners have opened up a side hustle running the hottest nightclub in town, where the entry fee is paid directly to them.

Of course, Satorials are much more than just a digital tip of the hat to the Miners. They're also a vibrant tapestry weaving together the epic tales, iconic figures, and unforgettable milestones that have dotted Bitcoin's adventurous journey. Whether it's remembering the mysterious Satoshi, commemorating the infamous pizza purchase with Bitcoin, or any of the countless other eureka moments that have defined this digital revolution: Satorials will make you re-live the thrill, the humor, and the sheer genius that have propelled Bitcoin from an obscure digital currency to a global phenomenon.
